The Art of Storytelling
Some people are born storytellers. They draw a crowd in like a bee to honey with their romance. They take you from the words to the scene in one sentence. They keep you engaged until the very end; you are fulfilled by a story well told but still wanting them to tell you something else....Anything.
This is a list of the best stories that have been told recently in TV and Film and Sound:
1. Drive. I am convinced that an Orchestra conductor was brought in as a consultant during the script development and then during shooting because the movie played like one of the most beautifully written Orchestras I've ever heard.
2. Last season of Entourage. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the sensationalization of the Hollywood scene, they managed to write a killer wrap up to the 8 season show. I kinda want to be Babs!
3. Weeknd. The best new artist/s to come out since MUTE MATH for me. I was blown away by House of Balloons. I listened back and forth from work. On my bike. In the Shower. EVERYWHERE. I could feel the life he was sharing. I could feel the vulnerability. I now had a very small window into the world of a 20 year old living through love, family and drugs in 2011.
